a brief update on my life

I haven't really been on here in ages. Been really busy this autumn, I moved to another city and I've been working on two degrees at the same time (English and Japanese). This city's winter hasn't even properly started yet, although we got a pitiful attempt at snowfall today. Mostly it's just been dark and damp.

Something fandom meta related on tumblr reminded me that this website exists and that I've often read very interesting discussions here, which doesn't happen that often on tumblr.

It will definitely take me a while to get used to the layout of this website again.

Oof, no wonder you've not been around! That sounds ridiculously busy. I'm glad you're back, though, and I hope you find the kind of discussions you're looking for!

Yeah, compared to the other English language freshers, I don't even have the full course load (because I've done some of the first year courses at another uni few years ago), and I only had one course of Japanese this autumn, but I'm still absolutely swamped with course work. At least swamped considering my extremely limited amount of energy; I've been in contact with the uni health services to try to get to the bottom my executive dysfunction and other issues.

But thank you! I'm very glad to be back. :)

That is a funny coincidence! I don't even remember what the post was about anymore, I just know that it lead me to think about fandom meta, and my brain went like, "Dreamwidth has fandom meta, should go there more often", so here I am again.

I'm not surprised you haven't had chance to spend time blogging, one degree and moving house is enough to take all your time as it is. Good luck getting into a new, working, routine
